But the Cadillac Ciel concept is in the new Entourage movie. I’m not a fan of Entourage at all, but I do want to see the movie just to catch some glimpses of the ever gorgeous Ciel. My grandmother, a die hard Cadillac fan, loves this car and said she’d buy one in a second if they ever made it into production.

The fact that they are not making this and instead making the CT6. which is what you will settle for after learning that you cannot afford an S-class or A8L.

The Ciel is about the most talked about, most positively talked about concepts since I’ve been alive. Nearly everyone loves it.

and they WON’T MAKE IT. It’s disgusting really. They should take the 12 billion that they are investing in Cadillac over the next 6 years (or whatever) and build these even at a loss. Sell the Ciel at 120k and destroy the Merc SL and the Bentley Continental.

So.....Cadillac decides to not make an unrealistic concept car, and they’re not looking to be a serious luxury brand. Anyone else does that, nobody bats an eye. Ok, yeah. That’s fair. Oh, and I’ve been in the CT6. It isn’t a “settling for” type of car.

There’s nothing unrealistic about the Ciel. obviously it would be dialed back a bit, but if creating a luxurious, fullsize 4 seater convertible is unrealistic for Cadilliac then they should just shut it down and give their volume to Buick. The Ciel is what Cadillac is . or at least should be.

Anybody else, assuming you mean the German 3 and Lexus, are already fighting at the top of the mountain. They don’t need to take a risk because they are on every luxury consumer’s radar. The Ciel would make people take notice of the brand. The CT6 doesn’t. It’ll be a good/great car but it doesn’t grab attention. If it did, fictional movie stars would be driving it instead of a Ciel.

*shrug* I haven’t heard anyone talk about the CT6 since it’s debut. People still talk about the Ciel. Hell, make a stylized CT6 convertible. Hopefully I’m wrong, I hope the CT6 is Cadillac’s LS400 or Grosser. But I don’t have much faith in De Nysschen (look at Infiniti)

Anyways, no one is in the market for a six figure Cadillac since GM is too scared to build one.
